COMPUTER LAB - UG
The Department has well-equipped air conditioned Computer Lab for U.G. students with a total no. of 54 computers, 10 Laptops, A0 Printer and Computer is equipped with LCD projector.
COMPUTER LAB - PG
One exclusive Computer Lab for the M. Arch consisting of 20 computers with LCD Projector. All Computers are connected to the internet. The systems are installed with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit student version software.
LIBRARY
The library functions effectively with financial assistance from the University, Government of Tamil Nadu and the UGC, and the total collection of publications now exceeds 13,000. A number of books and technical publications have been received from the British Council, other Consulates, research and academic institutions, as well as Planning and Development Agencies. The School’s strength lies in the facilitation of interactive learning through design projects, student seminars and lectures. The wealth of data collected as part of the design and thesis has been well appreciated by the professionals. The School, a foremost Institution in India serves as an institutional model in Architecture and Town Planning where other Schools in this region look upon our curricular and pedagogies for guidance.
ACOUSTIC LAB
The Acoustics Lab in the SAP campus aims to support a wide range of research and development activities related to acoustics, noise control, sound quality assessment, and environmental acoustics. Whether it is analysing the acoustic performance of new materials, evaluating the impact of noise on human health, or developing innovative noise reduction solutions, this facility is well equipped to handle various research projects.
ENVIRONMENT LAB
The department has an Environmental Lab which is equipped with outdoor Automatic weather station with data logger, AWS-DL, Anemometer AM 4201, LYNX Wind Vane CM 14100 Sound level meter LM 14 703 and four nos. of Lutron Intelligent meters. The Lab is fully functional and is being utilized by UG and PG students and research scholars of our School. IESVE Software has been purchased and installed for the lab.
WORKSHOP
A model making workshop is available for the students to prepare models of their design works.
SEMINAR HALL AND SAMRT CLASS ROOMS
An air-conditioned seminar hall. is used for the conduct of important functions and also for presentation of guest lectures by practicing architects and other professionals. ICT enabled classrooms help in disseminating content in a more effective manner.
MULTIPURPOSE HALL
A large multipurpose hall is well-equipped to accommodate a wide variety of events or activitiesis such as display of students work from time to time. This hall is also used for critique of architectural design during the course of the semester.
